Meeting Notes from March 14, 1014
The meeting of March 14 was opened by President Justin Raithel leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced guests and visiting Rotarians.
Trudy Nygren talked about community work projects. She thanked everyone who brought bags of food for Twin Lakes Food Bank. Saturday, March 16 is the work party to paint the gazebo in Folsom City Park. Tuesday morning, March 19 is a work party at the garden center on Lake Natoma.
President Justin talked about the Dragon Boat Races on April 6. We have 16 rowers but are looking for signups as alternates. If you are a rower, be sure to meet your goal for donations to Powerhouse Ministries by April 6.
President Justin levied fines. He started by giving Sam Holly his permanent badge for $20. Sam gave us a personal bio.
President Justin introduced our speakers, Jessica Alonso, Executive Director, Jasmine Escalante, Programs Director, and Emily Sharp, Family Navigator. all with Keaton's Child Cancer Alliance. Their mission is to support children with cancer and their families with emotional, educational, and financial support while increasing awareness and funding research toward a cure. They talked about how the alliance started and the services they provide to children who have cancer and their families. To see what this wonderful organization does, go to

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, 9 Folsom Rotarians painted the gazebo at Folsom City Park.
